Since the inception of GALILEO, ECLEXYS Sagl has been at
the vanguard of efforts aimed at harnessing and advocating for the utilization
of the European Union's constellation, thanks also to the expertise of
ECLEXYS's Managing Director, who served as the Swiss representative within the
GSA Committee tasked with formulating marketing strategies for GALILEO's
Commercial and Open Services.
Central to these endeavors was the pivotal release of the
inaugural multiconstellation GNSS tracker in 2015, marking a seminal moment in
the industry. Leveraging the nascent GALILEO constellation, this groundbreaking
device displayed the ultimate benefits of its signals, particularly in
challenging environments such as urban canyons, where previous receivers
faltered.
This achievement not only solidified ECLEXYS's position as
an innovator but also underscored the potential of GALILEO to surpass existing
GNSS standards. Subsequent demonstrations of even more complex platforms
highlighted the utilization of GALILEO's lower L-band signals for
multifrequency positioning, enabling remarkable performance enhancements. In
static conditions, centimeter-level accuracy was achieved, while vehicular
applications boasted precision levels surpassing 50 centimeters. These advancements
underscored ECLEXYS's commitment to pushing the boundaries of GNSS technology
while setting new benchmarks for performance and reliability.
Through this strategic involvement, ECLEXYS shaped and
èrompted initiatives that promote the adoption and exploitation of GALILEO's
capabilities. The company's active participation underscores its commitment to
advancing the widespread use of GALILEO across various sectors, reinforcing its
status as a key player in the GNSS industry.
